Research & Evaluation
Since 2021, Sangfroid Strategy has partnered with the Cleveland Black Futures Fund to evaluate its impact and refine its approach to supporting Black-led nonprofits. After assessing the first round of funding, we helped redesign the program based on key learnings, ensuring alignment with community needs. Our work included establishing a rapid prototyping program to track nonprofit capacity-building needs and implementing a system to measure the fund’s impact on racial equity in grantmaking. Beyond evaluation, we have supported implementation by advising on the Cleveland Foundation’s DEI strategy, strengthening the racial equity team, and developing a fellowship program. This comprehensive approach has enhanced the fund’s effectiveness in resource allocation and long-term capacity building.
